Repairs to the Lake Conroe dam are completed

Repairs to the Lake Conroe dam were completed Wednesday. Hurricane Ike in September damaged the two-mile-long dam. Most of the damage was in spots along the rock-covered face, one 500-foot section was exposed down to the embankment. With the work finished, the SJRA will allow the lake to rise back from 199 to its normal level of 201 feet above sea level.
