Pat Green has blazed his own trail in the country music world since 1995. The three time Grammy nominee and Texas fan favorite has also enjoyed widespread national success since the release of his 2003 mega hit Wave On Wave. Green’s supercharged live performances have evoked comparisons to the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Jimmy Buffet. In addition to national tours with superstars like Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews, and Keith Urban, Green sells out headline shows across the country. His winter 2009 Sony release, What I’m For, debuted at number 2 on the Billboard charts and signals Green’s arrival as a major American singer-songwriter.
Named by People magazine as one of Country’s Hottest Stars, Grammy nominated Turner has celebrated back-to-back multi-week #1 radio singles and back-to-back platinum albums, Long Black Train and Your Man, now certified Double Platinum. His current project, Everything Is Fine, was certified Gold in just four weeks. “Another Try,” a duet with Trisha Yearwood, was recently nominated for the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Event of the Year. Hit singles include “Would You Go With Me,” “Your Man,” “Firecracker,” “Me and God” and “Long Black Train.” Turner, one of the youngest members of the distinguished Grand Ole Opry, was recently the youngest member to be inducted into Nashville’s Walk of Fame. With his passion to support music and the arts, he launched The Josh Turner Fund that will award its first scholarship recipient this year.
Zona Jones will begin the Saturday tribute to “Texas country music” with his performance. Jones, a native of Beaumont, has earned tremendous popularity around Texas while expanding his fan base nationally. While gaining recognition on the Texas club and dance hall circuit, Jones recorded the album Harley’s & Horses. The CD spawned three top-five singles on the Texas Music Chart along with the album’s most popular single and national radio hit, “Two Hearts”. Jones’ newest album, Prove Me Right, is his first with Tracy Lawrence’s label, Rocky Comfort Records. It was released on May 19. His current single, “Bluer Than Blue” was released earlier this month and has begun its climb up the country music charts!
